Ring on a String
![]()
⭐⭐
Equipment: Length of yarn/cord, a ring
Put the end of the yarn through the ring and tie the two ends together to make a large loop (approx. 2-4 metres in diameter, so the string will need to be about 6-12 metres). Players sit in a circle all holding on to a section of the yarn. One player is chosen to sit in the middle and closes his/her eyes while the other players chant:
Here is the string.
We have the ring.
It goes around.
Will it be found?
Goooooo, Name!
When the chant ends, the player in the middle opens their eyes and tries to guess who is hiding the ring in their fist. If they guess wrong, the ring is revealed, and the game repeats. When the ring is found, a new player is chosen to be in the middle.
