Treasure Hunt

Equipment: Something to hide, print-out map

Start by printing out a Google Maps view of your play area (school yard, field). As you hide items around the area (ex. under leaves, in cracks), mark an X with a red pen on the map for each location you have hidden treasure. Post the map on a wall or have a leader hold onto it. The kids can look at the map and then figure out where to search.

The items you hide can be theme-based. It could be chocolate coins or marbles. I have used cheap acrylic diamonds and plastic gold coins that you can get at Dollarama during a Pirate Day Treasure Hunt.
