Coke + Mentos Toss

Equipment: a full bottle of Coca-Cola (probably best to have 2), a pack or two of Mentos

Open a full bottle of Coke in the middle of a circle (it's better if the bottle is chilled and unshaken). Participants  form a circle around the bottle, a least 2 metres away from the bottle (seated or standing). Each participant is given one Mentos candy. Taking turns, each player tries to toss their candy through the opening into the bottle. Hopefully it's difficult enough that this is not achieved in the first round. After every player has thrown their candy, everyone gets up to collect a candy again and return to their spot. I recommend that while they do this you hold onto the bottle so that they can't drop a sneaky Mentos in it and so it doesn't get knocked over accidentally. If you want, you can have players start from really far back and take a step forward between each round. When a Mentos candy gets into the bottle, you will have the famous Coke explosion (which is caused by the specific texture of the Mentos candy interacting with  the bubbles in the drink).
